I have started working with a friends and a few penpals on a translation service. A couple of us live around in southern california, but a couple key members of the team are across the world in Turkey and Poland.

So far we have been using email, phone calls, and a couple free file transfer services to communicate. It is a total mess so far.

However I ran into this website, and saw the tip on google docs and skype. We tried it out last night as a team, and we got stuff done FAST. It is fantastic what this internet revolution can do for us.

I want to share a tool with you that i found useful for sharing video files with my team. It is called rapidshare. It is a free to use filesharing website. The tool that i found most useful, is the rapidshare folders. You can upload multiple files and put them into folders, so that other members of your team has a single place where they can see all the avaible files.

I want to try the one you mention for multiple files.

It is great when a virtual team can work seamlessly.  We here at the portable professional also use google calenders to keep everyone on track.  It works great when you have a big project with alot of virtual team members with different tasks!

My personal suggestion, if you're only using free services, would be http://www.megaupload.com/ It has a higher mb upload limit as compared to rapidshare.
